Community Guidelines
കേരളത്തിന്റെ സ്വന്തം കൂട്ടായ്മ — welcome to KeralaOrbit. These guidelines keep this a place where everyone can ask, answer and share safely. By registering you agree to follow them.
1. Be respectful
- Treat every member with courtesy, whatever their background.
- No personal attacks, harassment, abuse or threats — in public posts or private messages.
- Disagree with ideas, not people. Assume good faith.
2. All faiths and communities are equal
- KeralaOrbit is open to people of all religions, castes, communities — and none.
- Religious or caste-based hatred, slurs and harassment are not allowed in any form.
- Respectful, good-faith discussion of religion and culture is welcome.
3. Politics: debate ideas, not identities
Political discussion is welcome. Moderation is viewpoint-neutral: posts are judged by these guidelines, never by which party or position they support. Not allowed: incitement, misinformation presented as fact, and attacks on individuals or communities for their political choices.
4. KeralaOrbit is not a government forum
KeralaOrbit is a community forum run by its members. It is not affiliated with any government department. Do not impersonate a government official or claim to represent one. For official services, documents and schemes, government websites such as kerala.gov.in remain the authoritative source.
5. Stay on topic
- Start a discussion in the topic that fits it — choose one primary topic tag, plus up to three extra tags.
- No spam, undisclosed self-promotion, or posting the same discussion in many places.
6. Marketplace safety
- Buying and selling are welcome in the marketplace topics — at your own risk. KeralaOrbit does not verify sellers or buyers.
- Never post private contact details (phone numbers, addresses) in public posts; share them in private messages only with people you trust.
- Illegal goods and services are not allowed.
7. Reporting problems
If you see a post that breaks these guidelines, use the flag button on the post. Moderators review every report — you do not need to reply to the post yourself.
8. Your data and your account
You can edit or delete your own posts. You may ask for your account to be anonymized or deleted at any time (Settings → Privacy, or via the Contact page). Your personal data stays private and is never sold.
9. Consequences
- Minor issues: the post is edited or removed, with an explanation.
- Repeated or serious issues: warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal of the account.
Moderator decisions can be discussed politely via the Contact page. Thank you for keeping KeralaOrbit welcoming.
